This lovely vintage hand-painted earthenware bowl from the art deco period is the work of famed Staffordshire pottery Myott, Son & Co. It features an angled edge rim and a simple but bold orange, lemon and green leaf pattern which seems quintessentially of the 1930s. It is stamped at the base with the golden crown of the Myott logo; pattern name ‘Loretta’ and pattern number 7508. It's in very good condition for its age with no chips, cracks or crazing – but there are some very minor imperfections either within the glaze or perhaps due to wear, which I have illustrated in the various close-up images shown above. 22cm in diameter; depth of about 5cm. #artdeco #artdecobowl #fruitbowl #vintagefruitbowl #myottloretta...more
