Made in the UK probably by J G Cracknell & Co under the brand name 'Homettes', Label to underneath: “Homettes” Reg. Features: angled book shelves above a bottom trough 1 compartments for holding magazines or newspapers 1 small shelf to the top for books. shaped sides Geometric detail at the top and on its base Two built in carry handles for easy movement when desired. Nice details at the top and at the bottom of the piece. nicely finished on all sides Beautiful oak tone 1920-30. With lovely curved and straight edges and exquisite detailing synonymous with Art Deco design. Of delightful form and attractive presentation for the avid reader or maybe to be used with a different purpose, for example as a towel as i presented in 1 pic. Condition: Excellent antique condition - wear commensurate with age. Solid of joint. No historic repairs or woodworm.
