A fabulous antique British Art Nouveau Louise XVI brass pedestal compote or fruit stand. Made in England Fruit Bowl Brass/glass Starburst insert. This example was produced by Beldray, the Beldray company was formed in 1870 by Bradley and Co in Wolverhampton. Here we have a silver or chrome-plated brass bowl. Finely detailed and decorated with roses. With dropper triangular shaped handles. This bowl has its original hand-blown glass liner to hold the fruit. With lovely flower decorative band running around the top. .With a gorgeous starburst design glass insert. On pedestal stand. Beautiful antique condition with wear and pitting to the brass.
