Beautiful vintage Mucha winter four seasons art nouveau hardboard picture collectables piece wall art. Stunning Mucha design featuring intricate matt colours hardboard picture with a glamorous lady wearing a long blue shoal with a winter background showing trees and plants with a snowy finish, wonderful matt tones in the gorgeous border with blue stars and orange detail with the mucha signature toward the bottom. Comes in a sleek aluminium frame. Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of authentic original patina. Height: 70cm Length: 31cm Width: 2cm 'The Seasons' was Mucha's first set of decorative panels, and it became one of his most popular series. It was so popular that Champenois asked Mucha to produce at least two more sets based on the same theme in 1897 and 1900. Designs for a further two sets also exist. The idea of personifying the seasons was nothing new - examples could be found in the works of the Old Masters and Champenois's other publications. However, Mucha's nymph-like women, set against the seasonal views of the countryside, breathed new life into the classic theme.
