This is a lovely and unusual asymmetric vase - it makes for a striking statement piece. It's unbranded so I'm unsure of the age but I'd guess it's quite contemporary. The metal looks to be cast and silver coloured in its natural state with a brass finish, there is black velvet on the base. It has a lovely patina - please note there are some very tiny areas where the silver base metal is more visible. As with all my antique and vintage pieces this has evidence of its previous life adding to its uniqueness, character and charm - there is a different texture on the surface of the vase in line with the neck; this was made in the manufacturing process.
