A beautiful Art Deco lidded box. Circa 1930, Germany. German drip glaze ceramics were made popular in the 60s and 70s with it’s lava vases gracing the masses at the time making them a fun collectible for people from then until now. This earlier and rare surviving example of an Art Deco biscuit box shows the progression to those later vases. It has been glazed several times to produce a gradient drip glaze throughout making it a beautiful and unique piece. The box is in great vintage condition with hints of its usage throughout but nothing major. There are two small scratches on one side but these are barely noticeable.
