THIS LISTING IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD This substantial solid wood cocktail cabinet by iconic British furniture maker Beautility was manufactured in the 1950’s, but is presented in Art Deco style. Curvaceous and glamorous, the restrained exterior has been hand painted in a durable black mineral paint and varnished with an extra hard wearing topcoat with a satin sheen. Stunning book-matched walnut veneer has been revealed and protected by a satin finish hard wax oil to enhance the sumptuous sheen and nourish and protect the wood. The interior is as exuberant as the interior is restrained. The cubby holes and cupboards have been painted in a luxurious antique gold and the doors and cubby sides decoupaged with an opulent Art Deco paper by designers Zoffany. The bar section has new mirrors but I have kept the original gold stripe mirror. The drawers are leather lined and the cubbies and bar are illuminated by remote control LED lights.
