This is a classic example of brutalist cermic art from the 1960/70's. We chose it for it's tactile look, swirling design, and attention to detail. Bernard Rooke, is a living British ceramic maker and painter. Known for his Mid Century designs. In the 1960's he worked from his first pottery studio in Forest Hill, South London. This is where he began to perfect his techniques in hand building, coiling, blocking, and slabbing. All of which can be seen in his work. This is a chance to own a piece of Mid Century British ceramic art, celebrating the career of a highly skilled artist. The piece is signed/stamped as shown.
