Popular as a wall display but equally beautiful as a shallow bowl/tray. This basket was made by women in the Binga district of Zimbabwe. it depicts a star/flower pattern in black and natural straw which gives an overall effect of a neutral brown tone. The edges are bound in thin brown leather… a lovely piece. The first photos shown are more true to its actual colouring.
