An attractive Mid Century Japanese porcelain bowl, a gorgeous blue with gold rim and deco styling. This sweet shallow dish features white bamboo branches and leaves with perching and swooping sparrows. The combination of bamboo & sparrows is considered auspicious, symbolising good fortune, resilience, family and friendship. The bowl is approx. 23 x 13 cm, and is in good condition, some wear to interior of dish. Bowl has red 8 character mark to base, and is most likely dates from mid to late 20C. As all items are preloved, there maybe signs of wear and use. Items are examined and all issues are identified as far as possible, but please see photos as they are a guide to condition along with the description. Feel free to message with any questions.
