Vintage 1970s Welsh Blanket, woven in royal and navy blue, with yellow-ochre and cream. In the timeless Caernarfon design, the blanket has a generous fringe, and is large enough to cover a king-size bed comfortably. Welsh blankets are traditionally woven in reversible double-cloth patterns, meaning the front and back layers are woven together on the same loom, with the weft threads moving between the layers to make a single, heavyweight and therefore durable, bedcover. This also allows for ‘2 looks for the price of 1’ as the pattern and colours appear different depending on which side of the blanket is uppermost.
