This is a rare, vintage, almost antique collectors cup by Booths Silicone China The cup of knowledge cup was made for the 1924-1925 Wembley British Empire Exhibition Booths cups marked for the Exhibition came in two shapes, a plain rounded cup and a shape characterised by a raised ridge band around the outside of the cup This particular cup has the raised ridge and is in a shade of green and fully glazed with a black edged rim Internally there are playing cards with the words “The Cup Of Knowledge” around the upper part of the cup As this is almost 100 years old it does have a small amount of vintage wear which is to be expected There is a little part of the black colouring missing on top of the handle and a small blemish to the green glaze on the lower handle There is age related crazing to the inside and outer base which is not overly noticeable, there is no crazing to the exterior of the cup Please see all photos as they form part of the description Height 6.5cm...more
