Made by Buchan Pottery in Portobello near Edinburgh, Scotland. Beautifully hand painted in the BRITTANY pattern 1956-1968, no two designs are exactly the same. The base is printed with a thistle and BUCHAN/FINEST STONEWARE/SCOTLAND / 187-20 /M6-154/. M6 is the makers mark but I cannot trace which one. Very lovely it is too. It has a contemporary I feel - even though it must be at the very least 54 years old. You can use it in the oven for single portions which is also really useful.
