This vintage hand-thrown studio pottery vase is a great staple piece. It's the kind of object we really love to have to hand - both beautiful and functional. It would be great displayed on a shelf as a stand-alone, or in combination with a selection of objects. Fill it with fresh or dried flowers for a centrepiece or botanical styling on a piece of furniture. It's sizeable enough for a substantial arrangement. The vase has a bulbous base and mid-length neck with a short rim. Concentric tool marks are visible through the glaze, creating faint horizontal banding that gives the piece texture. The base has a makers mark that reads R/B? This piece is in good vintage condition. The body has no defects, cracks or chips. The base has some chipping to the foot, which is not visible when displayed, and is consistent with functional items of this age. Images are included.
