Heavily carved antique Welsh writing drop leaf desk - having an intricately carved back with top shelf and flanked by barley twist supports. The writing surface has a drop leaf which has decorative carvings around the perimeter and this is all supported on decoratively turned legs. We believe this to be a marriage of two pieces of furniture to make a rather quirky drop leaf desk. Its very different! The oak has a beautiful patina that only comes with time and use. This piece is best places against a wall as the back has some movement - but on the whole is sturdy and a great looking piece of antique furniture.
