Charles Edward Stuart, also known as Bonnie Prince Charlie or the Young Pretender, was a claimant to the British throne during the 18th century. He led the Jacobite uprising of 1745, seeking to restore the exiled Stuart dynasty to the throne of Great Britain and Ireland.
