An elegant pair of Jugendstil tall tapered Bakelite candlesticks. This iconic Bakelite candlestick is pictured in all the reference books about collectible Bakelite. Made by Linsden Ware it was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh the famous Scottish Architect shortly before his death in 1928. They have an excellent quality with each section with screw fitting. The black Bakelite has an elegant shiny aspect throughout. It is made in 4 sections jointed together by small threaded rods with brass collars. They also come with metal sleeves to keep the candles stable. Condition: Good original condition.
