24k gold plated Chokin decorative plate featuring hummingbird in flight and lilies. Originating in the 12th century in Japan, Chokin was a technique to decorate armour and weapons of samurai warriors using pictorial gilding. It became a popular home decoration in the 1980s. This is a vintage item and so may show signs of it’s previous life. There is some signs of wear around the rim. Please see photos for details. It is approximately 15.2cm in diameter.
