A timeless piece from the mid-20th century, the painting depicts a picturesque golden beach alongside a glistening blue sea. A prominent cedar tree stands on the cliffs above, with a small cottage situated below. A diminutive figure is visible at the end of a jetty. The artwork bears the signature 'G. Bestard' in the bottom left corner. Bestard was a Spanish artist (1881-1969) who painted across Europe and in England. This medium-sized oil on board probably dates to the mid-20th century and is beautifully framed in a green and gold wooden frame. The painting has been restrung with new picture cord. This painting beautifully renders a sun-drenched seaside and will add a splash of colour and charm to any interior.
