Charming farmhouse style Longpark Torquay mottoware jug. Bears a handsome cockerel and the very wise motto in dialect “Dawnt’ee trouble trouble till trouble troubles yu” The cockerel design combined with this motto are very scarce and were produced around 1914. Measures 11.5cm tall. Shows some signs of wear commensurate with age and use: Two shallow chips at the base, a small nibble on the rim, general crackle to the glaze. Reflected in the price.
