This lovely antique deed box trunk has been transformed with copper and gold leaf gilding and a hand drawn raven, Ruby set amongst pretty white jasmine. It's a unique statement piece and would be perfect as decorative storage. The gilded areas have been sealed with several layers of lacquer while the original exterior and interior paintwork has been thoroughly cleaned, waxed and polished. Care should be taken with the gilded areas - only gentle cleaning solutions should be used and liquid shouldn't be allowed to stand on the surfaces. As with all my vintage and antique pieces this has bumps and blemishes that reflect its previous life adding to its character and charm - the lock has been removed from this at some point and there are areas of wear to the surfaces.
