A Mid Century Classic designed in Denmark for Dansk by Jens Quistgaard in 1957. It is part of a series of ceramic homeware designs in the flamestone range It is an early product of the design company. With the original “Four Ducks” Logo used between 1959-1965. It captures the balance between the ‘modern’ and traditional, or vernacular designs. This balance is present throughout the companies output, under the design guidance of Quistgaard. Andy Warhol produced a lovely illustration of the coffee pot and cup for Dansk Design advertising campaign in the early 1960s - it captures the era perfectly....more
