Candleholder designed by Jens Harald Quistgaard for Dansk Design in the 1960s. This simple candle holder comes as a candle and reverts to a candle holder once used. It is a beautiful example of his clean and articulate design (Priced singularly)*. 📌 History of the designer: Through a chance encounter in the 1950s, between Quistgaard and an American entrepreneur- Dansk Design was formed. It provided Scandinavian influenced design - for the home Scandinavian market, and for export too - especially to the USA, and Japan. Quistgaard, a Danish designer and sculpter, remained the head designer for the company he founded, for over three decades. His designs brought the cool of Scandinavian design in homeware to America and Japan: from the 1960s through to the 1980s. Why is it modern?
