Sleek stylised silver plated figurine, designed in the 1970’s by Gunnar Cyren, for Dansk Designs. Streamlined and pared back, in keeping with Danish modernist design principles. Part of Dansk’s vintage animal collection. The giraffe is a nice modernist touch amongst other mid century decorative items. Surprisingly heavy for the size, and can be used as a paperweight or as display items. Made from electroplated zinc. Totally smooth finish, with sharply angled features. It measures 11cm height x 2cm base width x 3cm base depth. Underside is stamped “Dansk Designs Japan GO” The giraffe is in excellent used vintage condition. There are no breaks, cracks, or dents.
