This stunning, perfectly proportioned iron back nursing/fireside chair dates from the mid 1800s. It has been beautifully reupholstered with Zoë Glencross Slade Stripe Inky Sky on White linen fabric, a subtle yet striking design which compliments its exposed frame perfectly. The pretty shell shaped original iron back has been hand forged and bent without welding points, and shows the marks made in the forge over 100 years ago on the iron surfaces. It sits upon beautifully detailed, elegant turned wood legs and original ceramic castors. The seat is super comfortable with plenty of spring and very low, perfect for toasting marshmallows in front of an open fire or for playing board games at the coffee table.
