Early Victorian Piano Stool

This is an early Victorian piano stool (possibly 1860 ish) with a lovely rich patina to the wood. During the 19th century the women of the family were often the pianists and needed to ‘perch’ to prevent their long and heavy skirt from spoiling. Benches became more popular as fashions changed. There are some signs of age with some small patches of damage as shown in photos. All adds to its story ❤️ It’s currently covered in a brown leather that is now rustic looking. Sold as seen but could be recovered if you prefer a smarter look. I’ve shown a couple of my favourite possibilities!
