Edwardian Antique Pair Of Oak Barley Twist Candlesticks w/ Bronze Wax Drip Catcher Bobeches - Set of 2 Vintage Wood Candle Holders - 31cm A beautiful antique Edwardian pair of oak candlestick holders in a rich stain. The upright stands are beautifully turned in a barley twist design over a capstan giving an exceptional cross section of the wood grain from every angle. The bases also provide beautiful mirrored grain detail. The tops feature what I believe to be bronze wax drip catcher bobeches. The set would look great on display on a mantlepiece or as a table centrepiece for all occasions. They are suitable for tapered candles with a diameter of 2.5cm. The condition of both candlesticks is, as one could expect, used with marks and light scratches to the wood throughout and wax residue to the bobeches. One of the bobeches is bent at a downward angle to one side as detailed in image #6. The other candlestick holder features a chip to the base capstan as detailed in image #7.
