Many moons ago in the 1980s I worked in Marks & Spencers and did a stint in what was grandly called the homeware section. It was mostly full of tupperware to my uninitiated eye but I seem to recall these were part of the stock then. Can't find another pair to corroborate my wild speculations but they are unmistakably 1980s - I certainly saw them somewhere! Perfect condition with heavy glass stems.
