Vintage birds are one of my obsessions and this lovely set of ceramic wall mounted house martins or swallows are rarely seen. The stamp on the rear reads H Martin so that, rather than swallows, is clearly what they are intended to be! I think they're mid century produced in the 1940s - 1960s. Dimensions approximately: 12.5cm x 10cm 11.5cm x 9m 10cm x 8cm As with all my vintage pieces these have evidence of their previous life - the middle bird has a white glaze flash over its eye made during the manufacturing process and slight age related crazing in the top glaze. There are no chips or cracks to any of the birds. Please note that the actual colours are between the intensity of the pictures in full sunlight and those showing the birds wall mounted....more
