HERMÈS - A SPORTING LIFE! A very rare original Art Deco Hermès advertisement circa 1926 for “Les Belles Parures” (beautiful adornments). Depicting a stylish day at the races scene, the advertisement for the luxury goods manufacturer Hermès features handbags, umbrellas, parasols, walking canes, belts and a vanity travel case. This advertisement bears the mark of Draeger, a renowned French Printing House also known as Draeger Freres and attributed with being one of the pioneers of advertising and also the mark of the French artist Léon Bénigni who was a leading fashion illustrator, draughtsman and lithographer. This wonderful Art Deco advertisement has been professionally framed with a handpicked complementary orange mount as a nod to the iconic orange of the Hermès brand and with a rounded black wooden frame to resemble the rounded handles of the walking canes and umbrellas within the advert.
