French early 20th Century Extending 8’8” Oak Parquetry Carved Dining Table. Stunning French double draw leaf extending trestle style dining table. This table has extensions on each side that slide from under the top extending from 148 cm to an amazing 265 cm . This table would easily seat 12 people. The large pedestal supports feature carved acanthus leaves. The pedestal feet are carved scrolls - the proportions of the table are correct and impressive. The table top and each of the draw leaf surfaces feature diamond parquetry set into panels. The surface of the table is in fantastic condition for its age and has obviously been loved and well maintained. Sourced recently from a Chateau clearance in Normandie, France.
