A very fine example of a vintage hand blown glass ship within a glass decanter style bottle. Made by Lymington Glass Mystiques Ltd in Hampshire likely in the 80s or 90s when they became extremely popular. The ship is a replica of Cook's Endeavour. It has an amber hull and rudder, frosted white sails, blue flags at the mast heads and the rigging is from threads of clear glass, all put together with such painstaking intricacy. The decanter sits on a Rosewood stand with a metal name plate on the base of which remains a sticker stating 'Hand crafted in England'. This is likely to be one of the last of its kind actually made here in England. It is 27.5cm long and the base of the bottle is 10cm in diameter. This would make a fabulous gift for a nautical fan.
