Gold leaf ‘Sound Wave’ black antique writing

Welcome to my first Narchie listing - for this Sound Wave design hand finished writing desk The up cycle and prep for the bodywork was straight forward - thorough cleaning and fillering followed by three coats of recycled chalk paint by ReColour in black. The legs then had gold size applied and 75 sheets of fine grade gold leaf were attached, and sealed with dark wax The drawer front design came from a design by Scorched Earth Industries. You can find the original on Etsy. It was taken from their print of a sound wave of an expletive shout! The top of the desk is an original leather writing pad so please expect to find that this area has a vintage patina. The dimples from pens and objects placed on the surface can be picked out when you look closely but it doesn’t detract from the overall look of the piece.
