An interesting piece which dates between 1945-50 using the back stamp. This wider Clipper mark used by Grays, was introduced to cover the larger manufacturers’ black stamps in use after the Second World War and if you look closely you can see the original stamp through it. A wonderful gift to an avid fisherman or someone who appreciates 40s ceramics. Signs of wear which are consistent with age but no cracks....more
