Vintage Chinoiserie Style Half Moon Woven Rattan Trunk or Chest This is an extremely unusual piece and could be used in lots of different ways. As it has a half-moon design it means it can be slotted into small spaces perfectly! It could be used in a hallway as somewhere to tidy away shoes or umbrellas, or a side table/bedside table with a lamp or even a toy box in a playroom. This trunk is highly decorated with woven rattan panels each flanked by a wavy/scalloped trim. It opens with a brass clasp to reveal ample storage space. It sits on four small ball feet and although very sturdy looking it is very lightweight.
