untitled, 2022, ripped and assembled black clay vessel with handdyed wool and silk tassel, approx 30 dia x 44h cm. This is from my ‘ripped and torn’ series where the torn edges of the clay is left visible after assembling. I then emphasise the joins with white slip and refine the surface until only a faint impression is left, capturing the transient steps of making and embracing the fleeting imperfections of the process....more
