This lovely antique oak dressing table has been lovingly updated with hand painted translucent white jasmine against a moody black backdrop. The top of the dresser has been sanded back to reveal the beautiful grain of the oak and provides a striking contrast to the paintwork; all the unpainted oak has been sealed with beeswax and Danish oil. The interior of the chest and the interiors of the drawers have been brightened with layers of translucent aqua and then oiled and polished. As with all my vintage and antique pieces this has evidence of its previous life adding to its character and charm - I've put so much work into this getting it back to life but there are still small elements that mean it's not factory finish perfect!
