Hand Painted Antique Pine Coffee Table Trunk

This lovely antique pine tool box trunk has been transformed with layers of hand painted leaves and a trio of perching swallows; the leaves wrap around the exterior of the trunk and continue inside the lid and onto the removable internal tray. It's a completely unique statement piece, perfect as decorative storage or even a low coffee table. The whole piece has been sealed with several layers of furniture wax (standing liquid and harsh cleaning chemicals are likely to damage the surfaces so care needs to be taken). As with all my vintage and antique pieces this trunk has bumps and blemishes that reflect its previous life adding to its uniqueness, character and charm - there is obvious wear to the surfaces and some losses to the edges of the base but it is solid and functional.
