This characterful metal box has its original brass handle and hasp latch. The top has been gilded in gold leaf then decorated with pretty, hand painted white jasmine. Perfect for storing art and crafting items or small treasures. The whole piece has been thoroughly cleaned; the gilded design sealed with several layers of lacquer and the original paintwork waxed and polished. As with all my vintage pieces this has evidence of its previous life adding to its uniqueness, character and charm - there is obvious wear to the exterior and small patches of rust on the interior (now sealed with wax). 30cm x 22cm x 13cm P&P £8.50...more
