This antique / vintage steamer trunk had a fabulous surface texture created from decades of wear, rusting and pitting that I wanted to retain and celebrate. The entire trunk has been treated to prohibit further rusting then sealed and painted with Orion the octopus. The exterior painted surfaces will be sealed with either matt or satin furniture varnish (buyer can select) and the original interior has been thoroughly cleaned waxed and polished. As with all my vintage pieces this has bumps and blemishes that reflect its previous life adding to its character and charm - please note that the base of the trunk is slightly unlevel.
