This lovely hand painted jug was made by F Mennella of the Ceramiche Mennella pottery in Casamicciola, Terme Italy. It is cleverly designed with the top half resembling the head of a rooster painted in red yellow and blue on a white background with its beak as the spout. The bottom half of the jug has a blue floral design with the image of a bird at the front and the handle has a striped design resembling tail feathers. The jug stands 21cm tall and is in great condition with no chips or cracks. A lovely characterful addition to a country kitchen.
