This quality hand painted pitcher jug was made in France by the Henriot Quimper Pottery Company. It features the modernised Corbielle Rose Design. The original Corbeille Rose design dates from the 1930s but this modern version was probably made late century. It features a pretty blue and pink flower design with green foliage and a yellow and blue accent border. The handle, spout and other parts of the design has a blue sponge painted effect. The jug has a traditional pitcher shape, hold a litre of fluid and measures 18cm high. A very colourful attractive piece of high quality pottery from this well known French company. It would look wonderful in a traditional country kitchen and could just as well be used as a vase to display dried flowers.
