Original 1970s version of this iconic shaped decanter - a beautiful and sophisticated Danish design - the crown stopper is a wonderful thing alone. Designed by Danish by Michael E Bang for Holmegaard in the 1960s. Called the Kluk Kluk decanter, due to the four air channels through which the liquid passes as you pour, making a distinctive gurgling sound. This is the ‘leaning drunk’ edition. Who said Modernists do not have a sense of humour! In true Modernist fashion Bang was not in favour of surface decoration but instead, used the shape of the decanter to provide a dynamic effect. The Glasses are from the Canada range designed by Per Lutken for 1970s Soirees - classic modernist shape. Lovely weight in your hand too. Decanter has signs of liquid but no chills or scratches.
