Vintage Indian(Goa) handcrafted solid brass vase made in the shape of bud. Circa second half of the 20th century. Vase made in India by skilled craftsman in traditional Indian brass craft art. The crafts of India are diverse, rich in history, culture, and religion. The crafts in India reflect the influence of different empires. Throughout centuries, craft has been embedded as a culture and tradition within rural communities. Metal craft includes metal work using zinc, cooper, brass, silver, and gold. Some of the traditional ancient handcraft styles are still manufacturing in Bidriware, Pembarthi, Dhokra, and Kamrupi. This vintage vase is hand crafted and hand engraved flower design on the entire surface of the item. This is great peace from my collection of Indian metal craft. Great condition.
