Iris - An original mid century still life of an Iris in a pottery pot by Alexander Sjögren (born 1899). The artist has chosen to use an impressionist background to highten the natural grace of the iris. The colour palette and soft textured finish of the oil paints work to create a beautiful composition by this accomplished artist. Notes on the artist: Alexander Sjögren born 1899 in Sweden.
