A fantastic Vintage Pottery Collectors item I've had this checked & advised that this is from Jane Hamlyn Pottery's signed. This fantastic mid century pottery piece is clearly marked with the UK artist’s stylized initials JH - Jane Hamlyn. The circular box with lid is in fantastic condition, like new and has no chips, cracks, or repairs. Highly collectable studio pottery by a very talented and renowned potter, this approx 3 inch diameter circular. & in superb fantastic condition. Jane is credited with discovering the green colour that arises when painting a titanium wash over a blue slip, and in 1999, she was awarded the European Saltglaze Prize. Along with Walter Keeler, she is considered a pioneer of the salt glaze revival. Jane is a fellow and former chair of the Craft Potters Association. She has exhibited widely, and her work is displayed at the Victoria & Albert Museum, in the Crafts Council Permanent Collection and the William Alfred Ismay ceramics collection, York Art Gallery. a fantastic item to have as a collector of pottery.
