Japanese Style Tea Set

This is a very unusual Japanese style fine porcelain tea set by Sanyi Ceramics. I cannot date it or trace its origins. The set comprises of 6 small cups and saucers and a sugar bowl. The cups are a tapered shape whilst the saucers are shaped in the design of an anthurium leaf keeping in line with the anthurium design throughout the set. It is glazed in white and yellow gold with an anthurium design in red and gold and a gold gilding around the rim of the cups and saucers and top and lid of the pot. There is also gilding to the unusual shaped handles. The cups measure 6cm high and the saucers are 13cm at the widest point. They are marked 'Sanyi Ceramics' to the base, are in good condition and come in their original box which is a bit age worn. There are a couple of small black marks on two of the cups, one inside and one out. It is a very beautiful and unusual set.
