A pair of Danish Mid-Century brass candle holders from the 1960s stamped Dansk Designs, Danmark JHQ (Jens Harald Quistgaard). These beauties are sculptural with clean and beautiful lines reminiscent of the Scandi-modern look that Jens was famous for. They can also be turned into vases by screwing off the candleholder part and turning them upside down. Jens was a Danish Sculptor and Designer primarily known for his work with Dansk where he was chief designer from 1954 through to the early 80s. His designs became renowned as fine examples of ‘modern Scandi living’. These particular candleholders are probably one of the most sought after styles of Danish design to this day. Simply gorgeous. They are in very good vintage condition. They have a lovely patina to them, which I have left untouched, but they would polish up beautifully. They are 23.5cm high and 7cm wide.
