This is a lovely example of the typical Staffordshire style mantlepiece/fireside dog and a very good size The figure is unmarked and as such difficult to date but the underside has does not have the large casting holes often seen in modern reproductions indicating it could be an original Victorian dog. It is on good condition for the age but does have some paint loss but this does add to the antique charm somewhat! 22cm tall by 16cm wide...more
