A heavy and sculptural wooden stool, large enough for use as a side table. The piece originates from the Dogon Tribe of Mali, West Africa. Hand carved from a singular piece of wood, the stool is incredibly tactile with signs of the maker throughout. The piece features eight ‘bent knee’ style legs. Dating to the early 20th century, the stool has a beautifully deep patina to the wood and is a solid, sturdy piece. The stool has wear aligned with its use and age.
